IF: Voices

He could hear a tiny little voice on the other side.

Trying out some different things...I'm figuring out watercolor as I go along and trying to find my style. I used a blue instead of the deep violet I usually use for the shadows. And it's more pen work than I originally planned, but I think it adds nicely to the nighttime effect.

Do you have a favorite color you use to shade? Or does it depend on what the situation calls for?

Hi, Christine! About the shade in my case it depends of the situation and object or character I'm working on. Try to make different experiences.
The illustration is very sweet. I like the light effects. Well done!

Really lovely! I am very much a fan of pen work and watercolor, and this illustration has it all.
Usually I use violet for shadows, but I also like blues, especially for nightime.
You have a wonderful style, Christine!

Thanks everyone! It helps to hear what others use as I am learning.

Love your style. My shadows are often the compliment of the main color of the figure.
