Progress so far

Here's the progress on the clay sculpture. He has his uniform on now with some pant legs. Pretty much all that's left is trying to figure out legs, hands and feet. And I played around with his shirt, part of it puffs out over his pants. Have to see how I'll work that out. Then I'll add a few accessories. I'm nervous about how he's going to be able to stand with that big tummy and also about cracking during baking. Anyone have any Super Sculpey clay tips?

As long as you follow the baking instructions you shouldn't have any problems with cracking. I might suggest either making a wooden base of wood with teeny dowels and insert both legs to make him nice and stable, or perhaps lie him down for baking...just watch that he isn't too close to the top element or he may scorch. You could always drape the head with a bit of tinfoil halfway thru baking too.

I think it looks amazing, I really love his dimensions! Great job!
