IF: Clockwork Birdfellow

Meet Clockwork Birdfellow. He's a member of the Aviation Association of Mechanical Birds. I really like the steampunk sculptures that are out there, they're the inspiration for Mr. Birdfellow. I'm impressed and fascinated by the gadgets and gears and such that make up steampunk items. Looking at them cultivates (gratuitous IF theme word-it's a stretch this week) all sorts of ideas and makes em so cool to look at.

I have only recently learned about steampunk, and find it fascinating as well. Love this piece, and every time I've visited your site, your banner art makes me happy.

I love the look of this illustration, but would really like to see it a little bit larger!
Any chance you could upload your images a touch bigger so when clicked, we get to see a slightly larger view?
I can understand if you keep them small for a reason...

Thanks for all of the sweet comments.
June, I'm not sure if I have turned off the click to enlarge option, any idea how to turn it back on?

Clicking to see original file in a new window at original size is working fine, it is just that you save your files very small :o)
When a monitor is set at a high resolution, your images are opening at about 2 inches across... and it would be so nice to see a slightly larger version, but I do realise that larger images are more open to abuse.
How about using save for web, keeping to a low res 72dpi and a max height or width of 600 pixels if you want to keep them small, but large enough to show a larger version on click. (Your latest piggy black/white image is much easier to see as it is larger)Blogger's 'large' size display in a post adjusts them to about 400 pixels wide in the post entry.

Hope ths helps, but of course, it is entirely your decision on how large you choose to save your images before uploading to the blog... I just wish I could see them better :¬) If I lived nearer, I could call round and see the real art, which would be perfect.

June, that would be wonderful! And you could bring your bunnies so I could admire your work in person! You let me know if you're ever in the area and I'll get the lemonade ready:-)

Latest post has a higher res. and is saved a bit larger. Hope it works better!
