Did this sketch a few months or so ago. Digitally painted her just for fun tonite. Kept it light and simple. Sometimes I do a great job of over thinking things which results in some overworking. Sigh. Maybe I should pretend every project is just for my personal amusement.

I reckon your digital is working really well. The colours are nice and soft. It looks like pastel. Have you tried scanning in some watercolour washes and using them for the coloured bits? It gives you that granular texture.

This is very sweet... LOVE your colors and facial expression! I get your "sigh" on over thinking, therefore overworking! I do it every time! :o)
Thanks Susan:) Yes. Hard not to overthink! SOmetimes in PS I find myself able to loosen up and just paint. Helps to know I have a delete button though. I think that's the key:)
