What great characters. I love the chick in the front, ha! The perspective and composition add to the over inviting feeling of this friendly farm. I can't wait to see the finished piece!
Valerie, thanks for your comment:) I am so new at Photoshop, I'm not even sure I can answer just yet! I do so love traditional watercolor. There's something about getting lost in the work while using the brush to build up the layers with the paint, a feeling I'm quite sure can't be replaced digitally. However, digital provides a whole other approach and has some undeniable positives, like super quick work submissions and much easier revisions. I say yay for both traditional and digital!
I adore children’s illustration and spend my time drawing and painting. I especially enjoy creating characters. After a bit of sketching they seem to take on a life of their own and are kind enough to let me get to know them.

Very nice composition, and it is so nice to see preliminary sketches.
Thank you:) Plan to take it to color, either photoshop or watercolor.

Which do you prefer, watercolor or photoshop?
